ridiculously refreshing
During our girls' trip, while hanging upside down in the ocean, I found myself wondering: at what point did we stop doing the things that truly refresh us?
And by refreshing, I don’t mean turning everything into another project: a new skill, a new recipe, a new workout, another way to optimize ourselves.
We’re already surrounded by more information, advice, and opportunities than we can possibly process.
For me, real refreshment felt much simpler.
It was spending hours in the ocean. Playing. Observing. Laughing. Trying things I loved as a kid - even if I definitely looked ridiculous doing them.
The funny thing is: this only happened after two days of doing almost nothing.
Just eating good food, spending time with people I love, and enjoying the ocean.
Maybe being refreshed is less about adding something new and more about remembering what we already love.
And then just fucking doing it.
